About Oh My Word Cookie Co.

Oh My Word Cookie Co. started with a moment none of us planned for: being laid off.

In April 2025, after years of building a career and doing everything right, I found myself suddenly without a job. It was scary, humbling, and disorienting. But it also created space for an unexpected question.

What if this is the beginning of something instead of the end?

That season came with a lot of emotions fear, grief, hope, determination sometimes all in the same day. As a family, we started talking more openly about feelings and how we cope with them. That is when Sad Glad Co. was created, a brand centered on the belief that all emotions are valid. You do not have to fix them, rush through them, or explain them away. You just have to let yourself feel them.

Baking became one of the ways we did that together.

At the end of many days, we created a small ritual. We would bake cookies, brew tea, and sit together to talk about one good thing that happened that day no matter how small. Some days it was big. Some days it was simply getting through. Sitting around a warm Oh My Word cookie and a cup of tea became a way to slow down, reconnect, and remind ourselves that even hard days can hold something good.

I have always turned to baking as a reset, a way to slow down, process big feelings, and reconnect. During that uncertain time, my daughters joined me in the kitchen. We measured flour, laughed over spilled sugar, debated chocolate chip ratios, and found comfort in doing something simple with our hands.

Out of those moments, Oh My Word Cookie Co. was born.

We create small batch cookie mixes designed to be easy, nostalgic, and full of heart. Each mix is meant to turn an ordinary moment into something meaningful, a family night, a tough day that needs soft edges, or a celebration that deserves something homemade.

While Sad Glad Co. focuses on honoring emotions, Oh My Word Cookie Co. is about what you do with them. Sometimes that means baking. Sometimes it means slowing down. Sometimes it means gathering the people you love and sharing something warm from the oven.

This business is more than cookies.
